The recognition

Media Tenor’s 2015 Agenda Setter Award recognised Le Monde, followed by The Wall Street Journal and The Guardian. The announcement was made around the fifteenth Agenda Setting Conference in Vienna.

The research base

The analysis examined 2,637 citations of media content across 25 international print and TV outlets between 1 July 2013 and 30 June 2014. It considered how stories and interviews were taken up as sources by other media.

What the ranking represents

Citation is one way to examine an outlet’s role in the wider news agenda. These results relate to the specified sample and period; they are not a current ranking.
